ADVANCED EXERCISES AFTER 6 MONTHS

Advanced Exercises After 6 months
It is best to practice meditation between 11pm and 1am (local time). Refrain from practicing meditation between 3pm and 10pm. Rinse your mouth and wash your face. Turn off the lights, and sit facing southward. Sit cross-legged on a cushion to keep your spine straight. Avoid direct contact with the ground. Maintain the following positions from the beginning to the end of the meditation session.
Keep your mouth closed, with your upper teeth gently resting on your lower teeth and the tip of your tongue curled up against the upper gum line. Close your eyes and focus forward from the midpoint of your forehead, between your eyebrows.
Then do these spiritual exercises in the following order:
1. Spiritual Commitment (After 6 months)
You will mentally recite the six sacred words on the six corresponding psychic centers during the first six months, or until you begin to experience the vibratory energy on the top of you head.
When experienced practitioners sense vibrations above their heads, they silently recite the mantra 'Nam Mô A Di (yi) Đà Phật' at the crown chakra three times as follows:
- Nam Mô A Di (yi) Đà Phật
Nam Mô A Di (yi) Đà Phật
Nam Mô A Di (yi) Đà Phật - Nam Mô Tây Phương Cực Lạc
(nahm moh taay phu-ung kuk lak) - Thế Giới Quan Thế Âm Bồ Tát
(tey zuhoy kwan tey-y ahm boh taht) - Mô Long Hoa Giáo Chủ Di Lạc
(nahm moh long hua zao choo zi lakh) - From now on, I will strive to:
* Return to the true nature of serenity,
* Return to the true nature of spiritual energy and
* Return to the true nature of my duties toward my fellow beings, earth, and heaven. - Nam Mô A Di (yi) Đà Phật. Grace, Peace Be with all Creatures.
Then continue to chant these vibratory mantras twice:
Please attest to the sincerity of your disciple whose name is (state your name...) in studying the spiritual perfection to reach enlightenment and soul liberation.
Next, recite the following prayer once:Keep hands together in prayer position at chest level and gently bend at your wrists up and down three times. Bow only with your hands while keeping your head upright and spine straight.
2. Concentration of Spiritual Energy
Keep your mouth closed, with your upper teeth gently and comfortably touching the lower teeth, and the tip of your tongue curled up against the upper gum line.
Keep eyes closed and mentally gaze your thought forward from the midpoint of your eyebrows.
Breathe normally and concentrate on the top of your head while silently repeating the mantra to yourself: "Unify the three energies: Sexual Essence Energy, Vital Breath Energy, and Spiritual Energy."
Gently insert the tips of your thumbs into your ear canals to plug them completely, without using force.
Maintain a straight back with your elbows pointed outward at shoulder level.Rest the tips of your index fingers on your temples at the hairline and fold the remaining fingers inside your palms.
NOTE: To find the correct spot for your index finger,
press on the temple area at the hairline and lightly bite your jaws together. You'll feel the temple muscle move at that point.
Place the tips of your middle fingers lightly on the bone at the outer ends of the eye sockets and slightly pull outward to close your eyelids completely.
Remember to mentally gaze your focus forward from the middle point between your eyebrows. Make sure to perform this exercise for at least five minutes but no more than fifteen minutes.
During practice, silently recite "Nam Mô A Di (yi) Đà Phật" by focusing on top of your head to eliminate agitation.
3. Non-Retention Cyclical Breathing
To begin the Non-Retention Cyclical Breathing (NRCB), sit comfortably with your back straight. Place your palms on your thighs and keep your elbows close to your body. Keep your tongue curled upward, your incisors gently touching, and both your mouth and eyes closed while focusing forward from your frontal psychic center.
Begin by exhaling slowly and smoothly, drawing your abdomen inward to expel as much air as possible. As you begin to inhale, mentally command, "Fill up the navel, fill up the chest, up to the head," continuing to expand your abdomen outward as much as possible. Once you can no longer inhale any more air, slowly and smoothly exhale, allowing your abdomen to deflate completely.
1. Slowly exhale, drawing the abdomen inward
2. Slowly inhale, allowing the abdomen to expand outward
Immediately repeat the breathing cycle, ensuring you mentally command, "Fill up the navel, fill up the chest, up to the head," at the start of each inhalation. Continue the NRCB process for at least 6 and up to 12 breath cycles in one session.
Cyclical Breathing of Non-Retention can be practiced multiple times throughout the day. Ensure that each inhale matches the duration of your exhale. Do not hold or guide your breath. Breathe steadily and continuously.
For beginners, this mental command serves to create a clear path for the energy to flow smoothly without blockage, but it will require some training and time. Over time, when your breath lengthens, you will be able to inhale deeply by first expanding your abdomen, filling up your navel, and then continuing to fill up your chest, and then your head with pure energy.
Notice that your abdomen remains expanded while your inhalation reaches your chest and then your head. At the end of your inhalation, exhale smoothly and slowly.
Always remember to focus forward from the point between your two eyebrows.
4. Meditative Contemplation
After doing the Non-Retention Cyclical Breathing (NRCB), proceed to Meditative Contemplation. Keep the same position as described above. For the beginners, place palms on thighs, tongue curled up to the upper gum, mouth and eyes closed. Focus forward from your frontal psychic center and breathe normally.
While concentrating on the top of your head, silently repeat the following sentence to yourself once:
"I exert soul ascension to pay homage to Buddha".
Keep mentally repeating Nam Mô A Di (yi) Đà Phậtfrom the crown chakra (top of your head) to avoid distractions. Then focus forward from your frontal psychic center. While contemplating, maintain silence and keep your spine straight. Stay in this position for as long as your body allows.
Your feet will most likely become numb, but over time, you can overcome this discomfort by focusing on "Nam Mô A Di(yi) Đà Phật."
5. The Samadhi-Mudra Seal
Master Lương Sĩ Hằng - Vĩ Kiên said:
The advanced practitioners apply the Samadhi-Mudra Seal during meditation because, after a period of time, as their pure energy elevates, they naturally prefer to keep their fingers crossed in the Samadhi-Mudra Seal position.
6. Post-Meditation Massages
Facial Massage: Next, rub your hands together with your fingers pointed upward until they feel very warm. Then, place the palms of your hands on either side of your nose and slowly slide them up your face, over your head, and down to your ears. Once again, pull down on your ears while pressing your earlobes. Perform this facial massage three times.
Repeat the hand rubbing for the econd time until your hands feel very warm, followed by the facial massage three times. Complete the third set of hand rubbing until your hands are very warm, then perform the facial massage three more times.
Arm Massage: Rub your hands together with your fingers pointed upward until they feel very warm. Then, squeeze and glide over your arm, starting from the shoulder down to the outer edge of your hand to stimulate blood irculation. Repeat this process three times for each arm.
Leg Massage: Rub your hands together with your fingers pointed upward until they feel warm. Then, squeeze and glide your hands over your leg, starting from the upper thigh down to your foot. Next, apply acupressure to the top of your big toe, gently bending downward to relieve any numbness. Repeat this process three times for each leg.
Feet Massage: Finally, bring the soles of your feet together, gripping your ankles with your hands, and rub them together 50 times. This is to activate the acupoints on your feet which relates to your internal organs.
